Wednesday I woke at
5:00 and had breakfast at 6:00. I went down to the lobby to wait for Guillermo
to pick me up. We were in the office very early. I called my wife and
after that I prepared for the training. Today the training was going very
well. I had to explain about all the dimensions in GSA and knew it was
going to be the most difficult and boring part of the training. Because
we had some time left we decided to start on the session that was actually
planned for tomorrow. This was where the users actually go and create
their own reports. The trainees were all very enthusiastic and I could
hardy get them to leave. Ricardo was exited and later on I heard that
the they were all very positive about today's session.
We had lunch early today and went to a place very nearby. It was the best
lunch I had in Mexico, good food, I had some Corona's and the waitresses
were very pretty. We were back in the office at 15:00.
In the afternoon session with Simon and Lourdes we talked about Optio.
We created a form and were able to get the whole process working, including
the automated process of Output Queue monitoring. It was a very successful
session. I do not have that much experience with Optio yet, but I managed
to get Simon and Lourdes going with the tool anyway.
We left the office at 19:30 and when I was back in the hotel I had dinner
in the China Grill. It is one of the most famous restaurants of the Camino
Real, and I really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. I had a "drunken
chicken" (chicken breast marinated in Take) and then some dessert.
After dinner I went to the Blue Lounge bar again and had a drink. When
I walked to my room I met Rik de Groot and his party in the corridors.
We walked through the hotel for a while and talked about our findings.
Around 20:00 I went to my room and watched TV, I fell asleep around 23:00.
Must be getting used to the Mexican time.
